New Web Reporting Interface
December 2009
For some time the IT department has been working on a new interface to our web reporting system. We are happy to announce that this has completed internal testing and has gone live in December. There are several new features to the upgraded interface --
- All reports are in a single list. Simply click on a report name to run the report.
- This list can easily be filtered using the keyword field at the top of the list, and can also filter the list by report category. With this system it is very easy to find a report if you already know what you are looking for, as you can match any part of the report name or code.
- To help you find a report when you do not know exactly which report is the right one, we now have a quick preview screen. Simply select the "i" (information) icon on the list and you will see a sample report preview. This saves you from having to run a report and find out it's the wrong one.
- We have also implemented a "favourites" system. When you find a report you like, click on the "+" icon to add it to your favourites. To filter the list to only your favourites, tick the "show only favourites" box.
- Behind the scenes the code for this is significantly better than the previous solution, in terms of scalability, maintenance and modification. Adding new reports and features will be quicker as a result.
We are happy with the above improvements, but are always looking to further refine our solution. For example, we are currently developing a scheduling system, so that reports can be sent to you via email as often as you like, automatically. Your feedback is always welcome!

Counterpoint’s New Website
October 2009
For those that have been visiting our website, you will have noticed that it has been ‘non-existent’ for the year, so that we could give it a well overdue facelift. This month marks the launch of the new look Counterpoint and we encourage you to have a click around the site. Should you have any enquiries, questions or service related queries then don’t hesitate to use the contacts section or the links provided. On behalf of the company I want to give a big thank-you to all those involved in getting it to where it is today. We are extremely proud of it all and overjoyed at the way it has all come together.
Adrian Marr – Managing Director
Quarterly Cycle Planning
October 2009
Over the last month a number of our clients have been doing the “Leyland Brother” thing, and travelling around the country to present to the merchandising teams. These days are incredibly well received and our merchandisers and clients get a lot of valuable insight out of them. Big thanks to each of the State Manager’s that organised the venues, the catering and all the logistics; and of course, a huge thanks to the clients that put aside their time and presented to the teams.
