Adrian Marr - Managing Director
Adrian has held a number of roles at a national and state level. He has worked for market leading companies such as Campbell's, Arnott's, Clorox (Glad brand), The Smith Snackfood's Company, Green’s Foods and in field marketing for The Bailey Group, Powerforce, Retail Facts and REL. During his time at Arnott's he managed significant change, through the implementation of the 'go to market' strategy. This incorporated projects to deliver restructures to the field force including a significant change in focus from selling to execution. Adrian spent 18 months with The Bailey Group as the GM of Operations and managed the transition to outsourcing for a number of large corporations. He has an MBA from Deakin University and has presented at both local and global conferences on the changes in the grocery industry and the key drivers for effective execution of plans at store level including the use of hand held technology to drive greater top and bottom line results.
Allan Scott - Merchandising Director
Allan has been with Counterpoint for 12 years and has held the roles of State Manager Vic/Tas, National Field Manager, National Sales Manager and is now the Merchandising Director. He worked with Revlon Beauty Care for seven years as the Sothern Regional Sales Manager responsible for WA, SA, Vic/Tas and prior to Revlon, Allan worked for Kellogg's as a National Account Manager. A seven year stint with Nabisco prior to joining Kellogg has given Allan broad experience from direct sales through to Account Management and Field Management
Karen Hogan - Operations Director
Karen is our longest standing employee, who has over 20 years experience within our business. Karen commenced her extensive Counterpoint career as the Receptionist, developing through many different parts of the business to her current role, which allows her to motivate the Admin and HR functions as well as look after a portfolio of clients. Karen is an integral part of the business and can share her extensive knowledge to achieve initiative solutions for our clients. Karen is extremely passionate about the business and our people and has an impacting ‘can do’ attitude. In 2006 Karen won the Photon Employee of the year award
Saul Bryan - Chief Information Officer
Saul has worked with computers one way or another all of his adult life. At the University of Sydney, where he studied Computer Science, he also worked in sales at an Apple Macintosh reseller. When he finished his degree he continued to work full time, as the shop manager, then retail manager (all stores on campus) and for a few years ran the service department that repaired all of the computers (PC and Mac) at the university. After leaving the university he worked as a consultant for several years and this led to working at Counterpoint in 1998, where he took a full time position as the IT Manager. In his time at Counterpoint he has helped implement major changes in the workings of the company from paper based data collection through two generations of handhelds. The currently used handheld software was co-written by Saul. He improves and maintains all IT systems within the company with the help of his team and spends a considerable amount of time in the ‘coal face’ developing solutions for our clients.
Tina Hansen - Financial Controller
Tina has a Bachelor of Commerce and is CPA Certified. She has experience within the finance function in excess of 12 years, working for companies such as Integral Energy, Boral Limited, Tyco Fire & Building Products. Tina also spent two years in contracting for companies such as MWV, Manassen Foods, Caroma Dorf and AAS. She has worked across different industries and segments of the market and this experience has given her exposure to many different systems and processes. Her passion is people and finding solutions that are outside of the square.
Enzo Zovic - National Client Manager
Enzo has been with Counterpoint for 5 years and has held the role of National Client Manager which incorporates both National and State Office Account Management. Enzo now also manages the dedicated Independent team to ensure they are driven to succeed in that tough sales environment. He worked with Sellmark International for 2 years as the Sales Manager responsible for Retail and prior to Sellmark held the role of National Account Manager for Jensen’s Foods. Enzo also has an extensive retail background having spent 8 years with Coles in various store and head office roles.
Jamie Mackenzie - National Field Manager
Jamie has been with Counterpoint for over 8 years and has held the role as Procter & Gamble State Field Manger Vic/Tas, SA & WA. He also spent two years as State Operations Manager Vic/Tas and is currently our National Field Manager. Jamie came to Counterpoint from Ardmona Foods where he held roles as Territory Manager, State Field Manager & State Manager and has experience as a state based Account Management. Jamie also has an extensive background in retail as an Owner and Manager of two independent Grocery/Liquor outlets.
