Case Studies

Gillette - Gillette Fusion Launch

Gillette Fusion launch in to the Australian market was considered the most successful field execution globally for the P&G business. Distribution results of 100% were achieved in less than 10 days.

Frucor Beverages - Promotional Effectiveness

Frucor Beverages grocery work across the first 6 months of 2009 saw a clear focus on driving off location displays and promotional effectiveness to ensure that stock levels remained high during key promotional periods.

The results for the focus showed a consistent increase in the number of off location displays across each month. There was a reduction in out of stocks by more than 75% and the scan sales increases showed the highest off take in the history of the V Energy Drinks brand in Australia.

Procter & Gamble - High Risk Category for Theft

Procter and Gamble have identified a number of products in the OLAY range that are susceptible to theft in store due to their size and value. Counterpoint was engaged to implement 'clam packs' and 'hard tags' in store, in order to prevent the packaging from being opened. The results of this action have been studied and during a period of three months the wastage/theft on the products was reduced from 51% to 8%. The clam packs also improved the value perception of the product and the likelihood of purchase thus resulting in an increase in scan sales.

Pig in Mud - Bunning's Launch

Counterpoint has been working with Pig in Mud to launch their new range of portable "Doggy Doors" that can be fitted in to any standard sliding door. This involved creating a new category and section in Bunning's stores in regional areas and setting up brochures explaining the product to the consumer. All of the work was completed within a 3 week timeframe so that its launch could coincide with their advertising campaign in Better Homes & Gardens.

Pampers Nappies - Coles Launch

Pampers Nappies is a global brand and was yet to be launched in to the Australian market place. In September, Proctor & Gamble and Counterpoint combined to launch ten new lines of the product in to more than 400 Cole's stores nationally (including every store in both NSW and Vic). The job required Counterpoint to cut in the new lines, completely redo the planogram and report on the store completion and compliance. All of this work was done in 10 working days. A huge effort from all involved and a massive success for the brand launch!!!
